If you find the idea of small fish nibbling on your feet horrifying (as I do), you won’t want to get a pedicure in Cambodia – or at least at the place highlighted in last Sunday’s NYTimes travel section – the Fish Can Massage and Pedicure in Siem Reap. This offbeat pedicure got a mention on the “Why We Travel” page – which featured a photo of two young Australian world travelers happily getting their feet nibbled upon by a swarm of fish (although they admitted being freaked out when a few bigger fish, dubbed the Loch Ness Monsters, were nibbling.) I say no thank you. Maybe when I was a younger somewhat more adventurous traveler. But this certainly isn’t Why I Travel now.
