We used to have fun taking our kids to spring training (baseball) in Tucson when we visited my parents there in February and March. Too bad that’s no longer there. But glad to here this is being replaced with spring training (soccer) – which is a favorite sport of my 20-year-old son. So hoping that will be something he can see during his trip to Tucson in March.
According to the NYTimes: six Major League Soccer teams will arrive in the coming weeks to train in Tucson for the first time. Four of them — the Los Angeles Galaxy, the New England Revolution, the New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake — will also compete in the Desert Diamond Cup, a two-week tournament.
